The test will be a maximum of 3 hours long and takers can expect their results to be delivered to them, online,within 5 working days. Test scores are reported on the Global Scale of English, a standardized, numeric scale from 10 to 90 which can measure English language proficiency more precisely.

FORMAT

30 – 35 Minutes
The speaking module of PTE also assesses your speaking, listening, and writing skills. Your speaking skills will be judged by getting you the questions that ask you to repeat the sentences spoken in an audio clip, respond to the questions asked, and summarize the passages on academic topics. Speaking section begins with the Personal Introduction. Then there are number of items for what you need to listen each of them carefully and answer into the microphone. Make sure you start within three seconds, else the recording will stop and you will miss your question. Also, you must be done before the ‘progress bar’ reaches to the end.

40-60 Minutes
The writing module of PTE also assesses your Reading and writing skills. You will be asked to summarize the text in one sentence and write an essay on the topic given.

32 – 41 Minutes
The reading module of PTE also assesses your Reading and writing skills. It contains passages and questions based on your reading skills. It contains a single timed section means you have to manage all of the questions under specific time. Please check the timer on the screen. In other words, the items are not ‘time bound’ but the entire section is.

40 – 50 Minutes
After 10 minutes of optional break, you come to the last module. Your listening skills are tested in this section along with writing and reading. It requires you to listen to the audio or video clips that begin automatically. The recordings are played only once. You can make notes if you want.
